In a recent interview, acclaimed Bollywood actress Kajol addressed the ongoing speculation regarding her daughter Nysa Devgan’s potential entry into the film industry. Kajol revealed that Nysa, who is approaching her 22nd birthday, has firmly decided not to pursue a career in Bollywood at this time. Kajol stated, “Definitely not. I think she is 22 years old and I think she has made up her mind that she will not be coming to Bollywood currently.”
This disclosure provides clarity amid persistent rumors about Nysa following in the footsteps of her illustrious parents, Kajol and Ajay Devgn. Despite her lineage, Nysa has chosen a different path, focusing on her education and personal interests. She is currently pursuing higher studies in Switzerland, emphasizing her commitment to academics over acting.
Kajol also offered advice to aspiring actors, emphasizing the importance of individuality in the entertainment industry. She cautioned against heeding unsolicited advice, particularly regarding physical appearance, and encouraged young talents to embrace their uniqueness. Kajol remarked, “Please don’t take advice from everybody. If you ask people about what you should do, then 100 people would stand up and tell you to change your nose, hand, hair color, this or that.”
This perspective aligns with previous statements from both Kajol and Ajay Devgn. In earlier interviews, Ajay mentioned that Nysa had not expressed a definitive interest in acting, noting, “She is just a teenager. She hasn’t told Kajol or me what her final career choice would be. As of now, she is studying overseas. If she decides to pursue a career in the film industry, it will be her choice.
While Nysa’s decision may disappoint fans eager to see her on the silver screen, it underscores her autonomy in charting her own course, separate from the cinematic legacy of her parents. Kajol’s insights serve as a reminder of the importance of personal choice and authenticity in career decisions, especially within the public eye.
